Post subject: JG300-Turkey Commemorative Flight Pics

Alright guys, I promised them earlier, and got them all ready to go! After this I'll try to limit my pic posts to no more than 3 or 4, I promise Rolling Eyes

It all began with a great outing with IMS_Dakota and IMS_Kujo - Hoppa and I trying to get the teamwork down and flame some Mules. It was finally the 190 that I was able to take down the tank that Dakota was lumbering around in! I lost a lot more than won, Great flying Dakota! - However, Hoppa and I both showed Dakota the value of the last bullet, the one you're riding in! The one below is not a zoom - got right up there and opened up with the 30mm gun packs - Again, this was a rare shot that night!

JG300-Turkey popped in on the Mules fight. After a few rounds of Hoppa and I against Turkey and Dakota, we headed off for an Airshow which I understand JG300-Turkey all but invented coming from Hoppa. Here is a group shot of us on the ground:

Below, Turkey shared a few of his thoughts that got us laughing for good while - Check the text:

During the show, Hoppa managed to get the P-47 lumbering tank inverted for a great low pass:

We decided to take a airfield hop close formation to close the evening out including a formation takeoff:

I lost sight of JG300-Turkey for a second. When scanning the skies looking for him, I glanced left off my wing and saw this - talk about close! Decided to break off high right to bleed the speed and get back in formation before we both had to search for our wings on the ground!:

Alright guys, A long posting, but apparently one well worth it to welcome JG300-Turkey back to the scene. Turkey - It was great to meet you and fly on your wing for awhile, looking forward to several more nights of flaming spits and having a great time - River Race anyone??

COOL!!!!

The History of the Airshow....well, actually, IMS_Combat brought that up years and years ago back on the "old" Com-Central, it was a CFS2 tradition. However, Turkey is indeed the one that picked up the ball and ran with it for CFS3, and also turned it into a "mobile airshow" with hop flights from one airfield to another. GREAT stress releiver and a chance to practice the ol' close formation flying while enroute, and also chew the fat and kick back a bit.

Turkey ran these almost constantly but you still had to watch out for him in that '109. I'm sure he was keeping an eye on ya and wasn't too worried about the proximity, we used to get much closer. I have an old screenshot of a P-38 Lightning with both wingtips torn off, flying merrily along, with the canopy open, during one of these outings!

River Race.....YEAH, we gotta do that.....still on travel here, but count on it soon!

yeah,,,I did kinda imply that Turkey was the grand poobah of the airshow curcuit in CFS3.....but what happened before I came to be a flight simmer dont much matter....lol.. Shocked ...
but I can say in all honesty it was Turkeys airshows that kept me from un-installing CFS3 cause I couldnt figure out nuthin'....he learned me up on flying and landing and took the time to help an utter noob,,,,it was his re-assurance and friendliness and training that I eventually was able to change my name from Yungwasshoppa to JG300-Hoppa...
I spent countless hours on TS with turkey and he is of the most genuine and decent folk you will ever meet......so you can understand why after not hearing from him in over a year I went kinda ...well......

damn I sure hope to run into him again soon ,,get on TS,,,and rip up the sky's

Man that brings back memories. My first airshow was just me and Turkey. We even did the Infamous inverted formation like on top gun except in Mustangs... Been a lot of places with Turkey and enjoyed every flight. I have a screen shot he took of me on that first airshow pinned up on my bulletin board at work. For a while now I thought he had dissapered from the flight sim world. Glad he's back

Neber did get it fingered out on just how to get all the frils added to this forum.... but dang,,,, (sniff) what a post! (wipe of eye's).... It really was a great thing to see some flyin pigs in CFS3. I have to say I had a really great time when I have not had a lot of time to do too much relaxing of late and get a lot of things reloaded after some nasty crashes with my computer so the combination just caught the best of me and took me out for awhile.

I just reloaded FS 2004 and took some flights with a couple of different Helos to see what had happened with the flight skills there too. .....Haven't crashed yet and even did a stall manuver wtih a UH-1D Viet Nam special edition hunker and got it back on the ground in one piece.

Great to see you guys around and I'm really looking forward to some flight time with ya'll (little country thang thar) if ya knows whats I means, son!

I wasn't able to finda any servers setup for the FS2004. Is that not available at this time?

TURKEY!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad you made it here!! Yes, what good memories, going back to the beginning of JG300. How about a river race tonight, at Koblenz, to commemorate?

I have a FS9 server running too, you can look it up in the Com-C menu on the left. The IP is 24.200.139.132

Also take a look at the PROPS racing forum. Stoopy, Deputy_D and I are involved and loving it.
