Dingo 2 new version
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Dingo 2 new version

I noticed in the thread on MGS at the Armor Symposium (on page 2) that the normal version of Dingo 2 is being shown.

Here's a version you may not have seen, the full-armour version in a slightly longer chassis, more of an APC than a Recon Utility Vehicle...........

Compliments to my good friend Dennis for this again..............

Regards,

BUG

Dingo 2 GFF (Lit; geschuetztes Fuehrungs und Funktionsfahrzeug) I think its more intended to replace the support vehicles rather than the actual apc's.

Bug I going to turn you into a 'rivet counter' if it kills me Wink

FAR too old for that! Mr. Green

Mind you I'm obstinate so that's one pre=requisite of a rivet counter that I meet!

You are right, this is more for the Support Elements BUT interesting nevertheless in that it is one more expression of the hardening of the German Army at least, and a path pretty much led by the US Army in it's current adventures.

The Germans will soon have or now have, Dingo 1 & 2, Mungo (one of the more bizarre-looking Hardened vehicles; I still think it looks like an ice-cream van!), DURO 2 albeit mostly ambulance versions, Boxer, and the Recon beasty whose name escapes me for the mo (it's 5.05AM and I've only been awake for the past hour so bear with me) A wide mix of types but all armoured............
