yep, thats probably what I'm going to do..I think maybe the easiest way is to keep the installation stock, then copy over the effects & gauges files...then one by one move over the add-ons and start the program every time after..it's gonna be a long process but I don't know another way to figure it out....I was being smart and keeping all the downloads in month by month folders, which would have narrowed it down to this month..but for some unknown reason I deleted all the aircraft out of this months folder so I have no idea which ones they are...stupid stupid stupid...

ok this is an edit from the orginal post above..I AM SUCH AN IDIOT!!!!..lmao...the black-out had absolutely nothing to do with the aircraft or scenery...I remembered I had been playing with my AA and Anisotrpic settings through the Nvidia console on my taskbar..appearently I set them just a tad bit to high and they were conflicting with the game settings...at least I ended up with two version of FS9 running on two seperate drives out of this mess..one completly clean & stock and one with all the goodies...thanks for the input Fled..all fixed now Smile

LOL Hangy! I think all of us forgot one important question and it's one I always ask anyone calling me for help on solving computer issues.

"What was the last thing you did before you had problems?"

Simple question I know and the most common answer is "Nothing!". After you find out what it was, I get the usual response..."Oh yeah!, I didn't think that mattered though."...lol

Glad you got it and it's always nice to have a stock game installed for those 'trying times' when you hose your custom install...lol

One advice I can stil give you is to make darned shure that you run a good defrag and for arguments sake make it two Wink

It wil for shure speed things up a wee bit as wel.
