Just trying to get some input/ideas...I also need to figure out what day/night and time would work the best for everyone...Tentatively I'm shooting for mid July for the maiden voyage...

LOL! I put my vote in... This is only my opinion of course, but the modern military planes, or at least recently retired ones, is an area of FS9 I've not explored - I've flown Il-2, CFS1-3 so I know my way round a Spitfire cockpit, so I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring for some fast jets or lumbering trucks!!

Whatever happens, I'll be interested though! Wink

Lots of nice planes to chose from and from any of those era's too.

Perhaps a mix of all those?

no mixing please...lol..my reasoning behind that is I want to try and get some screenshots of what looks like a real military flight in action...Plus if we mix we might have some issues with trying to stay together as far as speed is concerned..

What I meant was and sorry if I didn't make my point a bit clearer, was to do a WW2 one week, a modern Jet the next, etc... Smile

It's just a suggestion and I'll fly whatever you want to use...:jump:

well remember, this is going to be a monthly flight...we're already doing the Sunday flights weekly so we'll just start with one a month and see how it goes..if there's enough interest in the future we can alwasy change to whatever we want...each month will pick a different era, area and type of aircraft/mission to fly...

the reasoning behind monthly right now is to give enough time to make a good plan..vs. just jumping in a aircraft and flying to waypoints, I'd like to set this up more "military" style and have it like a "real" mission. What would be cool would be simulating inflight refueling and such..which means someone might have to fly the KC130 while the rest would fly fighters..or maybe even someone in an AWAC type aircraft...of course since we won't have any "live" ordinance all our missions will be training missions..lol..thats kinda good, I'm not sure I'd put live ordinance in the hands of some of our members..lol

well unless the poll changes drastically in the next few days it looks like our first flight will be WWII era...I'll start coming up with a scenario in the coming weeks and then we'll work on a small list of "approved" aircraft to fly...once thats done we'll have to make sure all those are uploaded to the site for everyone to download and decide on a day & time.
