The Nordic Battalion and Battle of the Sapna Finger
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

The story is probably true as you have stated. The details will vary.

One story I heard about that engagement or another, was one Danish Leopard crew fired their full load of ammo. Emptied the bins. At the inquiry, the crew commander was asked why he fired all 68 rounds (I'll be corrected on this I know). The man replied, 'I felt the safety of my crew and tank was in danger.' Case closed.

Try researching the Danish armour sites.
