The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I ask you, where would we be without the AFV News chat group for resources! Can anyone tell from the picture? The M113A3 shipped with hullside mounting bolts for a non-existant armor upgrade. Does it look like this slat armor package uses those mounting bolts?

From what I recall about the slat armor on the BAE MCV (stretched M113A3), the slat armor attached using holes that an M113A3 normally had for the add-on armor and the holes that normally held the rubber side skirts. I do not know if they are the exact same diameter hole, but close if not the same. _________________ RobG

I'm sure it works as advertised, but it sure looks like an overgrown shopping cart. For Canadians and other fans of Trailer Park Boys: I wonder if Bubbles would get a deposit on that?
