Armored Vehicles Past & Present Poster...
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I thought about that but I doubt the Museum could sell them at a profit, since they are government produced. Now the Foundation could make duplicates and sell them, assuming they are truely a government produced item (since there are no copyright issues with government items) but I am really looking for availability to as many folks as possible, and I have been very happy with things I got through the GPO in the past so that would be fine with me.

But I do plan on asking Ed at the museum (if I ever get back up there, I think I may get to take this Saturday off, the first day I'll have had off sine the beginning of May) if they have access to them. That was a reason I was asking if they could request them through distribution. So if there is a form number on the 'new' one it would give us a more current starting point.

Like I said, I think the info I gave for the '98 version is the latest version. I am not aware of any later versions, would be surprised if the posters Sabot/RobG got were any different...

The Fort Knox Directorate of Information Management is probably the best place to start to try to order them internal to the Army.

My version looks like it has a few more tanks than the Samur one pictured above. They printed these just this week for me. DOIM didn't make these, TASC made them for me so they must have the file in the system.

Yeah, I am guessing the Saumur version is based on the '92 version - the Saumur poster ends with the Merkava. The '98 version has one more tank - the M1A2.

The 1987 version, which the Ordnance Museum shop sells copies of, stops with the LAV-25.

Sabot, does your version end with the M1A2 or have further vehicles on it?

Well, that sounds like originals then. Apparently Fort Knox TASC is the source!

Do you have any contact info for them? I couldnt find them listed as such on the Fort Knox website...
