Found this while looking through the old "Tanks for the Memories" geocaching site.

"Description reads Found this armored vehicle in Marxzell (Black Forest, Baden-Wuerttemberg / Southern Germany)."

I have to assume this is some sort of mock-up right?

Why do I think the a/c is Italian? As for the circled object, that looks like a portable GPS receiver. How come if the GPS was a war winner for Gulf War II (90-91), why didn't it have any appreciable effect in WWII?

Looks like it is intended to be shot at a lot. Some sort of training aid (or uber-paintball toy)?

Jim is correct its a Target Tank made by Mowag if i remember correctly.
they had one at Bovington.

Looks like the photographer put it into the shot for size reference. Probably didn't have a ruler handy.

No, its standard on these geocaching sites - you're supposed to include the GPS in the picture as "proof" or whatever.
