Are those M-113 skirts by any chance?

They don't much resemble M113 bits to me, unless they were "cut" from M113 skirts. It looks kind of "improvised" to me, but I'm not that knowledgeable about the type.

Steve, many thanks for the pics!

According to Jim its the T195 engineering mock-up turret on a T195E1... Although I cant seem to find it in Hunnicutt's Sheridan volume.

Double-checking, "it" appears to be on pages 208 & 209 of Hunnicutt's Sheridan. "It" appears to be a T195E1 turret (see top left of 208) on a standard M108 chassis...

The T195 and T195E1 were the pilots for what eventually became the M108. But that clearly isnt a T195 or T195E1 chassis... With the odd chassis/turret combo you almost wonder if it came from APG!

Thanks again for the pics!

NO its not a standard M108 chassis.. I suspect (now) its a very early T159E1 chassis probably the ist prototype (Based on the observation that Prototypes 2 & 3 had headlights on the front)

The turret looks like its the the one from the T195 Pilot which was higher than the adopted turret.

Images on JED for comparison this weekend...

I'm comparing with the T195E1 pictured on the top left of page 208 of Hunnicutt's Sheridan. The T195E1 chassis pictured has a different front upper hull, including some sort of vent on the right side. Additionally, that slope that the vent is on seems to go half-way across the hull, instead of stopping abruptly as on the production models...

I'll admit I am having a hard time describing what I am seeing, but they are clearly different - unless other T195E1 pilots were more like M108s...

Hi Folks!

I was looking through some of my older books for some photos of the earlier M88 and look what I ran acrossed.

The book says it is a "T195 which was the forrunner of the T195E1".

Looks like those rubber skirts are orginial.
