Armored Battle-- Thunder over Michigan
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Great looking lineup. Let's hope the good guys win.

Maybe my libertarian tendencies have been on edge, but are these rules absolutely necessary? No coolers, no awnings, no tents...? FOD and aircraft are problems, but if it is the problem SAY IT OUT LOUD.

Actually, it was an M24 and an M5, followed by 2 more M5's and a Hetzer. I think the halftrack guys even took a run at it.
It was not a Jeep, it was a 1973 VW thing that was more rust than thing, For all you thing lovers, we took all the good stuff off it first, when it was all over, the Kuebelwagen guys picked all the brake parts and un bent wheels off it too.....

I'm not sure who liked it more, the crowd or the tank owners.....

D-mn thats awesome!!! I would love to be there, and I would even more love for my sons to be there and see a bit of history, at least as close as possible to the real thing. I can see myself participateing even!!! Of course I'd have to be a mortarman laying some smoke, HE and WP on those Germans.

why do you have to bring smoke on the germans? (cant you just be like are own arty and shell us both)

hey chris, again great show! i thought i would let you know that that display of air support was awesome, even better than last years!! i was on the right side, and i got a free hair cut to boot, nice job around the ears by the way ace!!! he was close, could read his helmet insignia. we thought he had actually clipped the antennaes on that M3 that was along his path.
