OK, I'm old and stupid, but where are the serial numbers on M60s and M60A3s? I know this was mentioned no long ago, but I didn't see where. Now JoeD et al have me curious about some of the M60s and M60A3s in Nebraska.

Here are three example of what you might find on the rear engine deck lid area. In the first photo you see two sets of numbers, 9190 and 3293A, with the first set crossed out. This would indicate a re-build, the "A" I believe means Anniston Depot.
The second picture shows a tank with its original numbers. Numerous repaints have started to fill in the stampings. NUmber should read 1128.
The third picture is of an M60A0, otherwise known as a "slick 60", as I have been informed on this DG. You can also find the serials on the front tow lugs, however I have found the rear area to be more reliable and not as filled in with paint.
You can find the "JJ" number at the lower front right (as you look at the tank head on) under the headlight mount area. This number should correspond with the USA number on the side if I'm not mistaken. If I am wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me on here.
