Wow! Looks awesome Ascout.

Cant wait to fly the new and improved Phu Bai.

Thanks, Fr8ycat...and by the way...I was just in touch with Tom Payne, whose photo I use for the Bob Hope thing...he has given approval to use anything from his pics for this project. He'd formerly been a...guess what?!...UH-1C pilot in '66-'67 and later in ATC at Phu Bai....major wealth of information there regarding Phu Bai ops.

This project is a major "GO" and should be ready for testing by Monday, if not sooner... Wink

Very cool. Maybe he could explain the confusion around distinguishing between the B & C models that I've run into. They are both identical visually but notice there are 2 different types of upper cowls and I have seen both types of cowls labeled as B & C models.

I'll ask him. Meanwhile, fish around in T-Pub:

OK!!! So!

We have a completed Phu Bai.....and Hangy, I've packaged up the relevant SEA mesh files into an auto-installer with some other stuff for this mission.

I need to add Phu Bai to the "Mission Package" if possible (and with permission) and I think we're ready to go!

Maybe need to finalize the mission description document, and I'll be on travel for the next couple weeks so wil get this done. Early September, anyone??

I'll take this up with the Phu Bai author, I think with the right incentive, permission can be obtained (he's not cheap, but I hear he can be bought...think "strawberries").

Not too early September...I'm off to Chile and Argentina from Aug. 28-Sept. 7. Anytime in the two weeks after that is good for me.

Will there be any issues with the executable for those of us that already have SEA mesh and Phu Bai installed?

Also, disregard the helpful pics about 2-3 posts back...those are outdated now with the new revetments and such. Wink

Also, also...I hope nobody plans to show up in the Captain Sim C-130....lovely as it is, it EATS frames and I'm guessing would be a problem in MP (even if an "approved" ride).

I'm ready.

Also, what Ascout said. Can you maybe just make a mission DL for those that already have all the other files?

Oh rats I knew you'd ask before I got all the install files done.... HELL YEAH!!!!!

I need to assemble all the stuff into 2 or three different combinations of install files. My laptop (which has all the goodies) has been getting full and very little time to polish it all up...I hope to have it all done sometme this weekend. That sound OK?

Sorry, just been working my tail off.

Cripes. And wouldn't you know I'm in Texas this week as well...and you already know about my possible trip out to the Left Coast next week. If that don't happen, I have two other priority projects that need quick travel.

Just been busier than a blind queer at a weenie roast, I tell ya. We'll get 'er done, keep the faith. Will use your dates above as a timeline and will target the open periods.

The mutliple install sets are to accomodate folks who want the Asia mesh, then those who already have it, then those who already have some of the planes and extra repaints that we don't want to overwrite. It'll get done soon and then, we'll be flyin'!

Casa de Ascout, I hope! Wink

I've got some comp time comin', maybe we can work in a dual-seat flight sim session in F4's over on the Midway exibit? (I did this with Stumpf last year and we kicked everybody's butt....)

I think we could make it a threesome, you know, if you wanna' swing that way, Richard. Shocked
