1/35 Revell Leopard 2A4 kit - comments ?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: 1/35 Revell Leopard 2A4 kit - comments ?

Ordered the 1/35 Revell Leo 2A4 kit.

Any positive / negative comments on this kit ?

This was the only 1/35 kit of the Leo 2A4 I have been able to find Smile

Thanks in advance - Best regards

Dirk

PS - Think I have stockpiled enough 1/35 AFV kits - now to build them !!

I have the same kit, and for me as it was good enough. I built since now 4 models in about 9 years. It took a little bit putty and a little ''cutting'' to make everthing fit. I made ''my'' tank (NL variant) so I took the smoke dischargers and the FN MAG from a Leopard 2A5/A6 kit. This model was also the only A4 I could find.

I'am sure the more experienced modelbuilders have more / other comments.

What country are you going to make?

Regards,
Lesley

Lesley

Thanks for the info on the Revell Leo 2 A4 kit - much appreciated

Thinking of doing a Bundesheer Leo 2A4 or the idea you've given me Smile

Met vriendelijke groet vanuit Zuid-Afrika

The Revell Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 kits are Italeri kits with upgrade parts made by Revell of Germany. Not bad kits, but not up to the quality of the Tamiya Leopard 2A5 and 2A6.
