PATTON MUSEUM outdoor display
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Its technically a T26E3 Pershing. I therefore kinda wish it was painted in WWII, rather than Korean war, colors. <shrug>

Is that a dummy 75 on the Grant? Note vertical handle next to the 75.

In fact its not technically a Grant at all, but an M31B2 recovery vehicle - sans arm.

Hi Folks!

- kmeyer

Is that a dummy 75 on the Grant? Note vertical handle next to the 75.
kevin

That Grant is possible an ex-T2(M31) VTR with the dummy gun removed from the top turret along with all the other recovery related items. That dummy 75 is mounted on a door. Someone took a VTR and tried to make it look like a battle tank.

Check the turret. Basic vehicle is a Lee, not a Grant.

Spot report!

It is a modified (rather poorly) M31B2 ARV.

The boom and assorted accessories were removed and an attempt was made to visually modify it to a Lee/Grant. (Many years ago, in a time, long forgotten....)
