The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

We referred to the TOW launcher/turret as the hammerhead. There's also a similar vehicle called the M981 FIST-V that is used as a forward observer team vehicle (FIST-V=Fire Support Team Vehicle). Couple of visual differences are external fuel cells and the improved trim vane on the front. _________________ RobG
