Well, chin up, fellas. Don't get me wrong - I like FSX (love it actually, just finished a 200Nm cross-country glider flight thanks to thermals and ridge lift) but I haven't deleted FS9 from my system and know I'll be using it as much as anything, as will we all.

Basically now that I have it running I wanted to answer the question asked a couple months back about how Ascout's Anomaly Airways sceneries look. But FS9 will rock on for a very long time and this wasn't meant to get ya down. If anything it will be a ver-rrr-rrr-rrrr-rrry slow transition, but if & when you do make it I believe you'll find yourself somewhat rekindled what with the new looks and features...when the time comes way down the road, and even if you don't feel like designing for it. Straightaway at least.....just gotta say that, as one of your biggest fans... Wink

Fr8ycat, on the loach, I still have the blacked-out windscreen in VC and I'm curious as all get-out what made it go clear for you.

I was actually going by your pics with the Loach in it. I thought originally the left windscreen was also blacked out in spot view on the original demo version but I could be wrong. Still have that installed but haven't played with it and I think there was an updated demo version wasn't there? If so maybe I should install that and recheck it and then play with the model and figure out what's up with that. There should be a fairly easy fix since not all the windows were blacked out if I remember correctly.

The Loach does very well in FSX with a couple of caveats.....some pop-ups about certain gauges that have to be acknowledged as "trusted" the first time when loading it, and the windshield in the VC.

Yep, there was an updated FSX Demo and the black windscreen texture seems to still be a problem in both it, and the release version of the sim. I'm pretty sure it's just the right side and not the left (don't recall offhand because I just pop to 2D view out of habit when I fly it now). Also, in external view, it's transparent from the outside, as it should be, so it must be located specifically to whatever texture is mapped (or not mapped) in the internal VC view.

I'll make a point to get some detailed pix posted tonight after I get home.
