M113 Serial Number
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. I was getting the serial number off of an M113-series vehicle which is under the right headlights. Under the SN it had also been stamped "RX 11". Does that mean anything to anyone? _________________ "TUMBLEWEED"

Tumbleweed, I have a few pictures of M113A3's at Ft Irwin. These were Engineer M113's which I don't know the exact nomenclature of, but they show where to find the serial number on the front of an M113. It is also usually on the left rear as you look at it from the rear. As silly as it may sound, maybe "RX 11" means it was a medic track?!?!? _________________ SFC Jeff Button "High Angle Hell"
