Hi,

I can't take pictures at work but I took this still shot off of a depot promotional video. There are nearly 800 M1A1 tanks stored here.

Have you tried contacting the SIAD security office and/or PAO? You sometimes find out that the word of mouth restrictions arent quite correct - or may be able to get special permission for a one time/or guided tour.

I'm going to check with PAO and see what it takes to get a photo permit. The fitrst time I went on the depot I asked the guards about taking pictures and they proceeded to search my car!

A photographer came out the other day and photrographed "ANSWER TO THIS", the 1st tank into Baghdad, and I'm trying to get a copy to share here. This is the tankl that the Patton Museum tank of the same name is modeled after. This tank may go to Ft. Stewart to the 3d ID museum.
