Hi everybody. Silly question probably but does anbody know of any DXT3 textures for Milton's Spartan? They all seem to be 32bit. I'm flying with lousy hardware and I can't see my scenery textures. Any paintscheme will do. Any info much appreciated. Smile Cheers, Aad.

You know what? I'd really encourage you to try converting a set with Martin Wright's DXTBMP tool to see if this will help. Do a google search and download it from his site. I say this because I don't know of any, and usually, repainters tend to follow whatever trend is set by the original textures anyway.

A thought!

Hi guys. Thanks a lot for your answers. Found the pidgeon on my doorstep this morning. Poor thing was exhausted. So I released it from it's duties. Twisted Evil Tasted quite nice actually with that bottle of Rioja I had left. Cheers Aad.

Understood Aad,

as you like pidgeons so much maybe I could interrest you for a Squirrel, a particular red one that lurks around here somewhere Wink

before you get hungry by the time you catch that tree rat, I've send you another pidgeon, and tyed two rockets to it's tail Wink

fled

p.s. Aad, make shure you sent the right mail addy, just got it back bouncing and the pidgeon looked like crap after that ordeal Laughing

Hi guys. Don't really like squirrels mate. The local ones taste like s***. Not a lot of meat on them either. Would have to empty the whole bloody tree just to get lunch. Never tried a red one though. Laughing By the way, downloaded DXTBMP just now. Gonna go and experiment some. See ya, Aad.

The Spartan package was released with DXT3 textures available as a download. You can get them at my Spartan website here:
www.flightsimonline.co...nloads.htm

Sorry that I was late picking up on this thread as I have been immersed in a Sim-Outhouse team project helping to build an A-26B Invader. Should be done soon.

I use a program and go through all the aircraft in my sim and convert all textures to DXT3. Fled has it too. Its kind of nice as I can also convert them to BMPs for repainting too if needed. I don't do much of that, so I haven't really used that part yet, but having that ability is handy for those folks that do their own repaints.
