There is only one week left to register your objection to the 'Pay as you go' road tax. The petition is on the 10 Downing St website. Only 250,000 people have signed it so far and 750,000 signatures are required to stop them introducing it.
Once you've given your details (you don't have to give your full address, just house number and postcode will do), they will send you an email with a link in it. Once you click on that link, you'll have signed the petition.

The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you Having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about Â£200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was Â£28 for a rural florist and Â£194 for a delivery driver. A non working mother who used the car to take the kids to school paid Â£86 in one month.

On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit in time you can probably expect a Notice of Intended Prosecution with your monthly bill.

If you care about your freedom and stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website (link below) and pass this on to as many people as possible.

thats the cost of thousands of 4x4s sittin outside schools all over the country to pick one kid up i guess! plus loads of young kids driving like there on formula 1 tracks,
i personly dont like the tracking idea but you gotta remember the size of the uk, most houses in my street are sporting 3 cars 1 being a 4x4 thats never even been in 4 wheel drive,
the goverment has a huge task trying to get people to use alternative transport, i for one dont want to see anymore huge motorways cutting through prime countryside the impact there should be of prime impotance to us, not the fact that we all want to beat the jones with a bigger more powerfull fleet!, Sorry Shade i wont be signing.

Thass ok bud.
We're in a democracy and have room, and tolerance, for multiple opinions.

I'm against this one but pro ID cards.
I don't ask everyone to follow me, just that they inform themselves and then make a decision based on what they think their best options are (or anything rather than listen to the media's assessment).

HELL YEAH i'm pro ID cards too , sooner the better imo, i cant believe we dont have them at this point, theres a big split here too but surely ID will go through eventually.
