I dont know if any of ya saw this up in the Officers Club. I've checked it out and it is really cool. The guy who is doing the re-configuring on the B-24 came and gave a talk to our squadron last night and It has quite a history, and this is a good place to keep up with the progress and some history of the ship.

was steered towards ths site just to check on the progress of The Commemorative Air Force B-24.

Here is a podcast about the opnyl B29 still worth restoring to flight condition - from avweb

AVweb's Friday Podcast: B-29 'Doc' Restoration Left Out in the Cold

Doc, the last remaining B-29 that might be restored to flight status is due Friday (February 16) to be pushed -- unfinished -- out of its hangar at McConnell Air Force Base and into the weather at Wichita. The project is almost a complete rebuild, with all-new parts that would give it, supporters believe, sustainability unmatched by many other restoration projects. But now to survive at all it will need suitable protection from the elements and a lot of money. AVweb's Glenn Pew spoke with Cliff Gaston, manager of Doc's restoration and maintenance, about the aircraft's past, present, and possible futures, as well as the project's potential competition for funds made manifest in the Commemorative Air Force's own sometimes-flying B-29, Fifi.
