sherman restoration
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I tuned in about 15 minutes into it

Why the major surgery? And did they acquire an original production jig to rotate it with?

Both Shermans had been used as hard targets. One had been hit to the front, the other two the rear. I wondered about the jig as well. Fairly interesting show, but I thought the Panther one was more interesting - when into the history of the vehicle, etc.

I've missed the others so far. Have they had the one on Wheatcroft yet?

Wheatcroft was featured in the one about the Panther last week, along with Littlefield

forgot to say the jig was made for another project but suited the Sherman with some modification, these people seem to work miracles with their small budget and even smaller workforce

I made the jig for an M4A4 I was working on for a collector. The tie bars were shortened to suit the Grizzly, all other bits fitted fine.
