What is on the barrel end of this machine gun?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. My non-professional opinion its a safety device for firing blanks. With a gun this powerful even a blank cartridge is dangerous. This board's probabyl full of people who have used the actual item in training.

Right on the money it's a blank firing adapter. The actual purpose is to use the gas pressure from the blank to cycle the action and provide simulated automatic fire Jeff Lewis

Yeah a BFA. They normally tear up the elevation brass gear in the M1 CWS when traveling cross country. _________________ RobG

From a few years ago... BFA mounted to allow blank .50 cal firing... Don
