The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi everyone, Here are a few pictures of AVLB's I found a while back on one of my little excursions that I'm posting while I am able. The first is of SN # 189. M60A1 AVLB. She's has been really neglected. The other is of #4927, formerly a late model M60A2. Not as bad of shape as old # 189 but also negelcted a bit. This is proof the M60A2 made it to Iraq (at least the Hull did ). Joe D

I wonder if those are turn-in vehicles? A lot of the vehicles at Sierra Army Depot have "LOT 10" painted on them. Don't know what that means but they could be headed here. Notice the new hydraulic cylinder on the first one. Looks like a big job! _________________ "TUMBLEWEED"

Should you ever have time to visit those AVLB again, it would be great to see some detail shots of the top of the hull of the one that doesn't have a bridge on it. Thank care Sir!
