Attn: ROY 1st Armored Division Question
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Roy,

What is the status of the 1st AD move to Fort Bliss? Are they moving in yet? That place is really going to be something with an entire Division moving in! Does the test brigade from the 1st Cav stay at Ft. Bliss or are they staying a Dona Ana? I miss El Paso. Maybe I'll 'tumble' down that way again some day Cool (F*** SNOW!)

Hi Mark! Hi Folks!

- MarkHolloway

Not counting the FCS lead elements, nothing has moved here yet. Last thing I remember reading is the BCTs in Germany are on notice to go to Iraq. I don't know what the BCT at Ft. Riley is doing.

Neither, they are over at Biggs Field. So far part of one infantry battalion and one artillery battalion have stood up here at Ft. Bliss. There has been very little press about them. There has been one article in the Base newspaper about some of the troops doing a public assist mission. Other than that, all the info I have is coming from the weekly DWI report.

Spot Report,
Sgt, Scouts out!

Thanks! The DWI report must be reminiscent of the 3d ACR days!
