Wingy Thing (O/T)
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi Folks!

I have seen a few OV1s during my time, but like Doug all of them were OD. That one at Biggs Field is the only one I have ever seen that was painted gray.

Well,

they changed to gray sometime around the early eighties, if memory serves- the last green one I'd seen up close was in 1980 or 81, when I was reunited with the OV-1s around 1987/88, they'd acquired a few more bumps and were gray, flying hush-hush missions out of Wiesbaden-Erbenheim and they were definitely gray in SWA in 1990/91.

Cheers,

Jens O.
