I thought I'd share this will all my Com-Central friends. We had a VIP at Offuitt AFB yesterday that anyone could see from the right vantage point. I figured you all would be interested in seeing it too.

I figured Offuitt was the mid-point in the flight to stop, refuel and check the shuttle. There was also a Nasa T-38 on a ramp near by, as well as a C-9 with similar markings.

I don't know! There's a Russian jumbo with a similar cargo package on top out there for FS9. We have it at Transload. I think it would be like flying a fully loaded C-5. I do that frequently at the VA as well.

I had the great pleasure of hand-balling a full load of cargo onto an IL32 at STN a few years ago with my customer, three of his drivers, and five airport loading crew.
It took us from 23:00 to 06:00 the next morning.
The Russian crew wouldn't come out of the cockpit until it was all loaded.
When they finally came out, the captain was genially waving a bottle of good stuff at us, and promptly fell down the steps and kissed the tarmac.
Hard.
His co-pilot staggered down the same steps to help him (and make sure the bottle was intact).
Two hours later, they took off again.
Next thing I remember was, waking up at 10:00, in Epping Forest.
I was an hour late for work and still an hour away from it.
It was a very slow morning.
