Looks like a nice setup. So the place your buying the parts from is also putting it together for you? I only ask because some of the prices for parts seems a little high but for $1750 if someone else is putting it together for ya and your getting a warranty I guess it's not bad.

One thing I wonder about is the 500W power supply. I'm assuming that the Motherboard your getting is SLI and if you plan on running 2 of those 8800 GTS's in the future I"m not sure if 500W will be enough.

Couple of things you need to do:-

PSU:-Find out the make of the power supply.
Many people think that, just because a power supply is a power supply it will work as it should.
That isn't the case.
Power supplies that come with cases do not tend to be as good.
I've used two generic psu's in builds before myself;
One was very good (and really shouldn't have been - just luck of the draw), the other I threw out after a month and spent about £80.00 ($160.00) replacing it.

Monitor:-
Ask what model the Benq is and get figures for its contrast and native resolution.

Motherboard:-What model is it? I don't think you'll need an sli set up with an 8800 GPU. If you do go for sli, it won't double up your performance. It actually works out to a gain of around just30-35%. If you're not going for an sli set-up, make sure you have access to the extra PCI slots of a non-sli board.

Sound:-
Modern motherboards have quite good onboard audio. However, you should look at getting a separate card for two reasons:-
a) You can get a very good gaming audio card for next to nothing.
b) Onboard sound uses your systems' resources. Getting a separate sound card will free up more resources for better games performance.

Graphics:-
The 8800 GTS is a very powerful card, whichever model you choose. Ask about its core clock and RAMDAC speeds (higher = faster performance). I've had a look at it and think you'll be happy with the return. In a year or so's time I think we'll have completely different type of graphic cards and, if you did want to upgrade, it should be quite simple.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll look into it. Turns out it was an ASUS PK5 Motherboard
