What Is This.......
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Simfire device, uses compressed gas to simulate main gun fire in exercises. Also was used, for example, as the 'retreat gun' on that Sherman out on Brooks Field at Ft. Knox for many years. Bob(Steinbrunn) had a picture of that posted a while back.

looks like the main gun simulator for training exercises. I believe it "fired" a burst of propane gas
