Sheridan in the Bag...(Howard Thompson?)
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi Folks!

Just checked in on the sale (08/18/07 @ 07:15 MDT or 14:15 Zulu time). Current bid is up to $2,026.00 and the seller's "Reserve" has still not been met.

2nd Upgate:
Checked in after biding had ended. (08/20/07 @ 02:41 MDT or 09:41 Zule time). Bid ended at $2,136.11 and still the seller's "Reserve" was not met.
There were only two bidders and five bids were placed.

Well, I've been back in touch with Howard. He's in negotiations with a museum in a location I'm not at liberty to name at this time, but I hope to let you know how this works out. I don't think I'm speaking out of turn (nor will you be surprized to learn) that what is being sought is something several times what was bid....entirely reasonable for the effort and accolades this piece has been noted for.

Powerball Lottery is now at $245 million! Think I could meet his asking price with that? Wink
