OT: Did Patton Really Say This...
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Have a niece going to Texas A&M and she brought me this t-shirt. I cannot find this quote in any history of GSP. Is this for real, or just wishful thinking? Confused

Hi Tanklord! Hi Fellow CIA Agents and all other folks!

I doubt also.
Patton went to the Virginia Military Iinstitute (VMI) for two years before leaving to attend West Point.

September 1903 to June 1904 VMI
June 16, 1904 entered West Point.

Looking through Martin Blumenson's 'The Patton Papers, 1885-1944" there is no reference to the Texas Aggies or A&M.

In looking at the T-shirt, it only says 'General George Patton'. That does leave open the question of WHICH General George Patton they are quoting.

This intell report requires more reconnaissance. Shocked
Sgt, Scouts Out!

Good point, Roy. I think THE GS Patton's son was a division commander (2nd AD?) at Fort Hood, Texas. Maybe he said it?

Hi Mark! Fellow CIA Agents and other Folks!

The son was the 39th Blackhorse 6 from July 7 1968 to April 7 1969 in Vietnam.

Sgt, Scouts Out!

P.S.
For you non-military types:
Blackhorse 6 - Colonel, commanding the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (ACR).

G.S. Patton III was the Commandant of the Armor School when I was at Knox at the Armor Board in '72-'73 (MG Desobry and then MG Starry was Post CO during this period). Patton left to command whatever Corps it was in Germany at the time at the end of '73.

Don't you have to convert it to comic book format first? Rolling Eyes

And who did all those Aggies, West Pointers, Norwich and Citadel alum work for in WWII?

Which Military School graduated the only career soldier to win the Nobel Peace Prize?
