New one to me.

Some how, I just don't buy it without supporting documentation.

If I remember right, he could speak French as good as any Frenchman.
Gen LeCleric's (Sp-?) Armored Division was part of 3rd Army. I would think that if he felt that way, he would have given them to another Army.

You are talking about General Leclerc's (named Marshal of France after the war) 2nd French Armored Division (known as the DeuxiÃ¨me Division BlindÃ©e)

Nowhere in my search can I find an attribution as to the time and place he is alleged to have made this remark. It also sounds inconsistant with his experience and some of the incidents reported above. It sounds like good fare for a catchy Tee-Shirt phrase, but I'm skeptical without a more solid basis in reporting.
