Wooden Structure on Hummer.
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. Any ideas as to what these boxes on top of these Hummers are? I think it is just a protective cover for the weapons station. _________________ The only thing to do when a son-of-a-bitch looks cross-eyed at you is to beat the hell out of him right then and there

Mock-ups for stateside training? I heard the real kits are still in short supply in theater, makes sense to use stand-ins in CONUS. Jens O.

Definitely 'training set' vehicles for Preparation trainup. Those are 'different' vismods, but non ballistic hummers, with 'fake' turrets,..... 'Training Set' vehicles. (Seen many of those in my last years in unform....from New York to Mississippi, Kansas to Wisconsin, and back at 'Planet Knox') Regards Don
