As a new employee from Tata Steel I'm very very proud of course. The price is a bit low though and I think my profit bonus for next year will be a bit lower Evil or Very Mad

Well, here's a newsflash, TaTa is also the new owner of Jaguar Motor Cars (and Land Rover, like anybody cares....), the epic money loser for Ford Motor Company. Now you can "Get your Ta Ta's out" or ask new owners to "Show us your TaTa"s"!

dont under estimate this car or the company, after all its about profit.

Good ridance to Ford they finally screwed Jaguar like they screwed Volvo, throwing out 3rd rate jags to wrong sector, poor management and poor marketing finally hit home,
imo Ford needs to stick to plastic trim and ad a bit of styling to their own product, not go around buying up and ruining prestige models.

As for Tata and jag we must wait and see, but this little car will probably do well enough, you only need to look at the major cities in the areas these cars are made for to realise they are probably onto a good thing, a cheap car for the masses! now i'm sure i heard that before!!

i just hope they dont start using the damn things for taxis, imagine trying to fit ya luggage into one of those when you arrive at goa!

Horsepuckeys, Jaguar and Landrover put themselves in the crapper, which is why Ford came to own them in the first place...they just couldn't polish that turd to the point that the public was fooled..both were already losing money with both hands when they were acquired. Volvo has actually improved, though it's lost some of it's character, but that's not a bad thing either. You could say the same thing about Saab, but so what? Who cares? Wink

Ford lost $3 billion this year, much improved over last year when they lost $12 billion (today they offered buy outs for all 54000 hourly workers)
