WOW! That's awesome.

reminded me of a few years back, I used to go to this RC strip in the Sepulveda Wash Basin (south of KVNY-Van Nuys Airport) and would get to see some very detailed RC aircraft. Many a WWII pilot there with replicas of the aircraft they flew in the War. Did see an F-14 there but it was an internal ducted fan.

They had a billboard there with various RC postings. One of the funniest things I ever saw was a posting that said "Lost, .40 Golberg Trainer, yellow & black, last seen heading SW towards the Ventura Freeway" Laughing

That's an awesome video. Quite a handful to fly, and an I wish the landing had been shown better. Looks like he greased it on!

Did you notice how he's got the wheelbrakes linked to the down-elevator input?

Yea, complete with paved taxiways just like a miniture airport.

First discovered it ditching from school. Was driving my Cougar with a couple of friends and dont remember what got us there (after rains) but decided to go into the lot south of there to do donuts in the mud. Right next to there was a drainage ditch somewhere between 10-20 feet deep and I say "watch this". Planning on swinging the rear of the car around just on the edge (planned it like a skateboard trick on the rim of a pool).

Well the rear swung around, went over the edge and bottomed out, the tires just spun, came close to sliding down into the ditch and getting washed away.

Nearby was a pile of wood planks so we all got out of the car and started wedging those planks under the rear tires. After about 1/2 an hour we finally got the car up and out of danger but were covered with mud, took me all weekend to get that car clean.

At the time it was scarier than hell but can now look back and realize..... being a moron sure was fun.
