Huntsville Veterans Museum #3: M4A1s, Stuart hulls, M59
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

This is the museum's storage lot. I counted no less than 10 M4A1 Shermans - 7 with turrets; and 3 without. Plus 3 Sherman turrets to spare (2 75s, 1 T23 76 gun turret). Also 2 Stuart hulls - some ID help please? And an M59, plus a half-track and lots of other "stuff."

The third photo down appears to be an M4A6 composite hull.

Third photo is not a M4A6, rather it is a M4 composite. the A6 was powered by a Caterpillar diesel.

Former range targets? Always nice to see more WW2 stuff preserved !! Even if Shermies are relatively numerous, there are never enough of them preserved.

The Huntsville hull doesn't appear to be a M4A4-type one, look at the spaces between the roadwheels.. more likely an M4 as recon4ww2 said..

Even so, it would be one of just seven known M4 composite hulls in the US.

Joe Demarco confirmed on G104 that is an M4 composite. Plus behind it is apparently a "rare & elusive non DD big hatch M4A1(75)."
