The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Help Needed locating any USMC 0353s (AntiTank/ONTOS Crewmen)

I figured this might be a good place to spread the word.

On May 12 - 16 2008 There will be a function in the Ft Knox area.

A Reunion of sorts, called the 'Ontos Family Gathering'. I am honored to have been requested to assist Ontos Marines, in organizing a function here, so that they can see the Area, the Patton Museum, the ONLY Fully Operational M50A1 Ontos.

If you might know anyone who served in an AT Battalion, Please pass along this.

The primary organizer would like to include anyone associated with the Ontos whether Civilian, Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard,....and of course The USMC.

This is why it is being called the 'Ontos Family' Gathering. I can be contacted directly, thru email for any more info that may not be addressed in the website. Feel free to contact me or pass on my email addy.

Yeah,.... Thats from USMCVTA I believe. Heres my own original design....

Its a shame our state Marine Corp League isn't until June. I know of three former Ontos crewmen who should be there. I will have to make flyers of these patches! You've been a bunch of help already.

The design has a little history to it, that links back to Tet 68. I got the design idea from the image off of the back of an Ontos Marines Flak jacket.

I would like to find out the individual or additional images, but so far no luck there.

I'll find the photo, and post it here later

If anyone can identify these items without any dificulties(besides the mug and picture), you are the individual(s) that I am trying to get hold of. Okay, for all the others looking on in interest, you may try at a guess, but then this isn't too difficult. Heres a freebie. Regards Don
