US Tank discovered in France
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Joe D BUT then,....once realignment is complete, perhaps some searching can be done for many rumored 'lost vehicles' of historical significance?? I have a few suspensions for possible target 'search' areas,.....could be fun. Wanna join me? Don

Don, Sounds like fun. Nothing like wandering around in the woods looking for tanks. I have found some very, very cool stuff over the years. BTW, did you make a buckle out of that RR Data plate yet??? Joe D

According to an article in French on Yahoo.fr, this tank will be given to a militay-vehicles-related association to be restored and then put on display at the "former soldiers museum" (kind of American Legion museum but for French soldiers) which will be set up in some months or years in Chartres.. I'll try to know more about it !!

If this tank is from the 31st Tank Battalion, 7th Armoured Division then it might be from Company 'D'....which according to this link was Light Tanks... 7tharmddiv.org/31tank.htm
