The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

You asked about Serial nr. in Sept.07
Late, but today I got 2 numbers
They are converted M60A1
tank in museum has 3358, another one 2974.
I hope this are the right numbers and useful

Robert,

Thank you very much. This confirms that SN's were assigned to exports the same as US M60's. The numbers are appropriate for M60A1's manufactured in the 1960's, which was when the Austrian Army received them. Are these two located in Vienna or Zwolfaxing ? I would like to match these to pictures I have.

Would you happen to know where this is at?

Somewhere in Austria

I have family in Graz and hope to visit in the next year or two. Unfortunately the Euro is so much stronger than the Dollar so it may be a while now.
