Kecel museum, Hungary
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Is there more known about the vehicles in the museum?

When looking at google earth it looks like a very large museum. Don't know the state the vehicles are in, but the aircraft are in a good condition according to the link below. That gives hope for the vehicles.

It's amazing how much of this stuff was copied from US designs.

Not a copy, at the end of WW2 both US and Soviets got hold of all
technicians engeneers and all the data they could lay there hands on
so it should not be a surprise that the MIG 15 and F-86 had so much
in common.

Nice find, Lesley. Here are the best links I could get from Google:

www.1hungary.com/hadto...9/photo-2/

www.museum.hu/museum/i...php?ID=961

www.yumodel.co.yu/bata...age_01.htm

Someone's done a good Webshots gallery here:

news.webshots.com/albu...Ef?start=0

Plus there's some good history here:
www.militaria.hu/hun/a...p?dazon=20

Are you thinking of visiting, or just curious about it?

@ Trevor,
Unfortunately not. I have a couple of weeks holiday now but I have work to do in my house, converting one room in a playing room for the children. Also spend some time at the beach and relax. After the holiday the working up for the deployment to the sandbox starts, so a little bit time with the family will do good.

Thanks for the info!

Regards,
Lesley
