After all the years watching me fly (behind a monitor) my oldest son got the bug. He swears he is going to fly fighter jets one day...been telling me he'll be a Blue Angel actually.

Well...because of some outstanding grades, we gave him a nice surprise for his graduation from middle school to high school. Mrs. Combat and I figured let's throw him up in the air for some hard core aerobatics, hope he pukes all over himself and put an end to this "bug" he's got. Well after Split S's, Barrel Rolls, Cork Screws, Cubans and Reverse Cubans, Loops and Victory Rolls...he didn't puke, he loved it, and he's more hooked now than ever! lol

Here are some pics I wanted to share with everyone here at CC. Afterall, my love for flying started right here at this desk and on this website! I wanted to get him the 1 hour dual between two T-6's so I too could join in the fun but just couldn't swing it this summer.... $$$$!

Combat! That is an AWESOME thing to did for your son!!!! WAY TO GO!!!!!!

And as someone who has similar stick-time in a T-6 (my family bought me that gift a couple years back, if these are the folks that travel around to different airports on a schedule) I'll affirm your son had a GREAT time and he will have vivid memories of it forever!

And if he did Cuban 8's than he got a more adventurous pilot than I got! Please tell him Bravo Zulu on withholding of the puke!

The sounds..and smells....inside that ancient T-6 is a wonderful thing that'll stick with him. Man that is just the coolest thing that he aspires to be a pilot!!!

Stoopy it sounds like the same guy that travels the east coast. He is based down in the Florida Keys. They had a yellow Stearman and 2 Texans, one T-6 in Navy colors and the other was camoflauged.

And YES, in the last 3 maneuvers they did a Reverse Cuban 8, went directly into a Forward Cuban 8, and then finished with a Loop. The pilot must have been in a good mood
