For the 'old timers' at '"El Paso Del Norte"
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I found some old shots I took during an armed forces day at Ft Bliss in 1978. (Vic the old HQ building of the 3rd ACR)

It was 'owned' by the Ft Bliss 'Threat Detatchment'. They also possessed a BMP, ZSU 23-4, and a Hind D. All were operational. I think they had more, but not sure what else.

Enjoy
Don

Yup, that's it. I lived in one of those buildings once. #2416 I think.
