Remember the men and the sacrifice of Blackhawk Down.

I can not remember ever in my life reading a book that had me actually crying as I read it, until I read In the Company of Heroes by Michael Durant, Steven Hartov. I am right now as I write this post overcome with emotion just thinking once again about the sacrifice made by Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon, the two snipers that were sent in and ultimately saved pilot Michael Durant from certain death. I never saw the movie Blackhawk Down or read the book. I am not sure either one could tell the story that Durant tells in his book.

Please remember the men and women who put themselves in harms way for our great country. Please remember the men who made the ultimate sacrifice on October 3-4, 1993.
