New photos Canadian Armour in Afghanistan
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Very nice,

Thanks for sharing.

Change the uniforms and equipment and the tank crew posing in front of their tank looks no different than some I worked with. Something about being a tanker causes you to appear a certain way.

I see that they are still making them mount those "Stay Back 100 meters" signs. We had something similar but disposed of them right away. The logic was by 2006 the locals in Baghdad had been around enough US convoys to know to stay away. Usually if someone got that close it was because they weren't paying attention to their surroundings (cell phone one reason). A TCR usually put an quick stop to that.
