105mm RCL firing
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Nice dynamic shot from the life archives...

Dust!!!

Can you imagine the dustcloud an Ontos firing all 6 simultaneously would produce? Shocked

HUH!!!???........

DAMN, got me all excited there, all for a 'MULE'!?

Neat photo though!

I know theres photos and film footage 'out there' somewhere, of just that. All Six 'MAJORS' firing simultaneously. I just have to find them.

BTW,....that is an M40A2, 106mm Recoilless Rifle firing.

Thanks
Don

Isn't that a Mighty Mite? - wheel hubs, windscreen and engine breather tube make it awfully similar to the one at the museum here.

Post subject: 105mm vs 106mm

There are photos on the Google/Life Magazine database that show a true 105mm RRs going through its paces, for example:
