Something NEW from some OLD things
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Don,
Would appreciate a couple of things on the T23:
1) Find where the SN is stamped if you can, probably on the front tow lugs...
2) check out the rear hull above the tow lugs and see if there's some wierd arrows that seem to be directions - perhaps for tieing off cables or something? The APG examples have that... Havent been able to check them for SNs unfortunately...

The T23 is in RMP. Was able to get some good pics while doing a few 'chores'. I also made a short trip to LST.

I'm compiling photos on several subject vehicles, will post as I get them done.

Ref #4; Gee someone got a new short-barreled Panzer III turret? Where was that on the net? I never knew FedEx would handle something that size.

No, it was UPS, they ship just about anything.

Actually that is the 75mm that came with the Sd Kfz 251/9. Its just covered for its protection since being totally restored.

Progress has been slow on this unique 'survivor', but there are ongoing efforts with measured results.

Neil,

do you have a photo of these two T23s at Aberdeen? It's impossible to find any photo of these 2 tanks on the web.

thanks

Thanks Neil for the pics.
The only post & pictures which appear when looking for "T23 Aberdeen" in the "search" section are these ones..

T23 (SN 17 / USA # 30103066) produced in May 1944.

There were 250 T23's produced between Jan - Dec 1944.

I have a copy of Characteristic Data Sheets on the T23 if interested (dated Feb 44 & Feb 45 updated)

Took numerous photos, interior & exterior. I'll post them if interested.
