Making pictures big?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I think it is possible to expand the posted photos but can't figure out how . . .

Kurt,
The site software (when all is well) automatically resizes hosted pictures to 800x600. If the image is hosted in a larger size elsewhere, you can usually highlight the picture, copy the "properties", and paste into your browser window and "enter", whereupon the best available size should display (you will have left this site at that point, unless you've opened another browser to do this).

It is also possible to add images as an "attachement" here, and it has been known to allow very large images, but as a matter of Com-Central admins policy, members are asked not to do this (as it makes for a lot of unwieldy scrolling about left and right in order to read any text that has been posted). And, it's not very bandwidth considerate.

There is an "announcement" at the top of the AFV forum page that describes the policy.

Posting a link (without hotlinking) to an image hosted elsewhere in mural-sized resolution is fine, since that would open in a new window.

Hope that helps!

D.

Kurt, if the picture is in the AFV Gallery then you can go there and see a larger image.
