The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. That's only the second set of pictures I've ever seen of a smoke grenade launch from a Sheridan. The first set I took myself in '71. Those old pics I recognize as being at McFarland-Oliver (from the ridgeline on the right, especially).

I see some later-era Armor Board pics among that collection, when I have the time, I'll look for any of our first laser rangefinder test project among that collection (AB vehicles can be identified from bumper markings of TEC<triangle>EBD along with the "test operation" stencils). I don't recall being photographed on that project, so at least maybe just the vehicle is there.

I had some very nice feedback about your project today from a certain retired colonel. He mentioned that your project might ought be mentioned in the Blackhorse Newletter, given the number of contributions from that quadrant. I left it up to him if he thought they wouldn't mind mentioning a commercial product. Just an FYI. Wink
