M109 monument Memphis Tn
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Mr. Doyle,
Dontos sent me an e-mail to my AKO account concerning your request for M109A6 photo's. I'm not an expert on Paladins by any means, but I am stationed here at Ft. Hood, TX., and will see what I can scare up in the motorpools here as well as the museums. Are there any particular angles / shots you are looking for? I need to go look for a missing M60 that is somewhere in the mass array of motorpools that make up Ft Hood.
It may take a while since I am so busy working with Wounded Warriors and am acting as a part time First Sergeant, but I'll see what I can come up with this week.

Jeff,

I figured you were busy, that's why I haven't asked. You find that M60 and I'll be there. I will be bringing my equipment too. Specifically to decipher that tube, even if I have to drop that breech block.

Leaning forward in the saddle Smile

That's not a M109A6, that's a M109A6PI, at least I think that's what they are calling it. The lower hull is not the normal M109 hull. This one uses a lot of Bradley components. I don't think they've even been fielded yet, or know if they are. This is a M109A6:
