This is the breech on the Tiger II. Cool

Spent sometime today in the Tiger II ( Mr. Green

), uploading about 40 dummy rounds into the right side ammo racks. Never remembered enjoying ammo upload partys like this one. A truely unique experience.

Don't know, perhaps it happened during restoration back in the early 90's?

Almost looks like it hit something during recoil. Maybe got pushed out of battery when moved. Not hard to do if you "Spike" the tube.

Reminds me of up loading Bee-Hive in the hull when I was in Korea.

90 plus degrees outside and humidity is almost 98%. That and those damn hull doors that just don't want to line up or open easily.

HA HA HA.....OH YEAH. Loved the idea of the Bee-Hive, but hated the monthly ammo inventory.

Thanks for the photos. Just the look on the face brings back the memories of loading the breach on my panzer during a gun camp loading for a new officer.....ahhhh the smell of cordite
